Your Child’s First Visit

From the moment your child arrives at our clinic, we do everything we can to put them at ease. Our offices are designed with an open atmosphere and bright engaging colors. Your child can play in our video game room and watch television in our exam and treatment rooms.

A Tooth Doctor for Kids dentists and staff believe that listening and communicating with your child on their level helps ease fears. Our staff uses a technique called "Tell, Show, Do" to communicate with your child where they explain in simple terms what they are going to do during the treatment and demonstrate it before performing the actual treatment.

Your child should visit the dentist by his or her first birthday in order to diagnose any special conditions and to create a positive first visit. You can make your child’s first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. Do inform your child of the visit to the dentist; however, please avoid words around your child that might scare them. Pediatric dental offices make a practice of using words that are not frightening to your child.

During your child’s first visit at A Tooth Doctor for Kids, we invite you to stay with your child during the initial exam. Our dentists and staff understand a parent’s concern about the apprehension and fear your child may have when receiving dental care.
